20th Polish Film Spring in Budapest

The 20th edition of the Polish Film Spring runs in Budapest from April 24 through April 30, 2014. Organized by the Polish Institute, the Polish Film Spring is the oldest event of its type in Hungary.

Hungarian audiences will have an opportunity to see some of the latest Polish films, including Chce się żyć (Life Feels Good) by Maciej Pieprzyca, Ida by Paweł Pawlikowski, Dziewczyna z szafy (The Girl from the Wardrobe) by Bodo Kox, Papusza by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze, W imię… (In the Name Of…) by Małgorzata Szumowska, Drogówka (The Traffic Department) by Wojciech Smarzowski, and Bilet na Księżyc (One Way Ticket to the Moon) by Jacek Bromski. Maciej Pieprzyca, Bodo Kox and Antoni Pawlicki will be special guests at this year’s jubilee edition of the Polish Film Spring.

Jubilee Edition of the Polish Film Spring in Budapest

To celebrate the twentieth edition of the Polish Film Spring, the festival will also screen five films that received the most votes from the audience. The selection was made based on an audience poll. Selected films include Imagine by Andrzej Jakimowski, Wesele by Wojciech Smarzowski, Dzień świra by Marek Koterski, 80 milionów by Waldemar Krzystek, and Wszystko, co kocham (All That I Love) by Jacek Borcuch.
