Andrzej Żuławski will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fantasia International Film Festival, which runs from July 18 through August 6, 2013 in Montreal.

Awards Ceremony and Film Screenings

This year’s edition of the Fantasia International Film Festival runs from July 18 through August 6. One of the guests of honour at this event will be Polish director Andrzej Żuławski, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award on July 25. The awards ceremony will be followed by a screening of Żuławski’s Szamanka (1996). Festival audiences will also have an opportunity to see L’amour braque (1985).

Ciemna materia (Dark Matter)

Andrzej Żuławski’s latest project, a Polish-French co-production entitled Ciemna Materia (Dark Matter) will be presented at the Frontières: The Fantasia International Co-Production Market. The film’s co-producers are Metro Films (Poland) and Fondivina Films (France). The project was previously presented at the Polish Days of the 12th T-Mobile New Horizons IFF and at the Polish-French meeting at the 65th Cannes IFF.

Promoting Żuławski’s Works with Support from the Polish Film Institute

The promotion of Andrzej Żuławski’s works at the Fantasia IFF in Montreal has been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
