Award for Małgorzata Szumowska

Małgorzata Szumowska received the Best Director award at the 8^th Eurasia International Film Festival for her work on Sponsoring (Elles). The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Award for Best Director and Best Actress

The awards of the Eurasia International Film Festival were handed out by a jury led by German director Wolfgang Petersen. The award for Best Actress went to Anaïs Demoustier, who played one of the lead roles in Szumowska’s Sponsoring (Elles). The Eurasia Film Festival in Almaty showcased 149 feature films from 33 countries.
