Bollywood Film Shooting in Warsaw

Warsaw proved to be better a better location than London; on April 11, the city will saw the first day of shooting on Kick, a major Bollywood production.

According to the filmmakers, the Warsaw shoot will feature some of the film’s most challenging footage in terms of production. The streets of Warsaw will witness several spectacular scenes. Filming locations include the area around the Palace of Culture and Science, the Gdański Bridge, Warsaw streets including Marszałkowska and Piękna, Plac Konstytucji, and the city suburbs. The film is directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, a prominent producer in India’s film industry. The cast features a number of India’s top names, including Salman Khan, the biggest star in Bollywood. Supporting actors include Randeep Hood, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Kick is a thriller drama with three protagonists, who cross paths in Warsaw.

Warsaw Fresher than London

Initially, the filmmakers planned to film in London, but ultimately decided that Warsaw offers more creative potential, and is a fresher and more inspiring destination.

An Indian-Polish Co-Production

The Polish part of production is handled by Film Polska Productions, a company with a portfolio of multiple film and television projects co-produced with India. Other partner organizations on the Polish side include the City of Warsaw, the Polish Tourism Organization, the Warsaw Tourism Organization, and Film Commission Poland.
