"Courage" Wins at Rome Film Festival

Wymyk (Courage) by Greg Zglinski, co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, became the winning film at the Rome International Film Festival, which closed on April 20, 2012.

Wymyk (Courage) is the story of brothers Alfred and Jerzy. They witness a brutal incident on a local train. Alfred idly witnesses the tragedy that befalls his younger brother. Zglinski’s film premiered at the 35th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, winning awards for Best Directorial Debut, Best Screenplay  (Janusz Margański and Greg Zglinski), and Best Supporting Actress (Gabriela Muskała).

Another International Award

The prize for winning the Rome International Film Festival is theatrical distribution for Courage in Italy. This is not the first international award for Greg Zglinski’s latest picture. The film recently won the 17th edition of the “Kino pavasaris” International Film Festival in Vilnius.

 

Courage was produced by Opus Film. The film features performances by Robert Więckiewicz, Łukasz Simlat, Gabriela Muskała, and Marian Dziędziel.

 

Wymyk (Courage) was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
