Lech Majewski’s New Film in Italy

Distribution in Italy is handled by Cecchi Gori Home Video. The film is realeased in cinemas across Italy with the Italian-language title Onirica.

Pre-Screenings at Bari IFF

April 7, 2014 marked a pre-screening of Lech Majewski’s Psie Pole (Field of Dogs) at the Bari International Film Festival. The film screened in the Panorama of Foreign Cinema.

Adam, a literature professor, quits his university job and takes on the post of a supermarket cashier. But in fact all he wants to do is sleep, to escape the painful reality. His only consolation in these dark times is Dante’s Divine Comedy. Excerpts from this work help Adam make sense of his everyday existence.

Psie Pole (Field of Dogs) was written and directed by Lech Majewski, author of Młyn i krzyż (The Mill and the Cross), Ogród rozkoszy ziemskich (Garden of Earthly Delights), Angelus, and Wojaczek. The film was produced by Stowarzyszenie Twórców i Mecenasów Kultury i Nauki Angelus Silesius, and co-produced by Cecchi Gori Home Video, Bokomotiv Filmproduktion AB, Silesia-Film, Odeon Rybarczyk Productions, 24 Media, and emAudio. The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. World sales are handled by Wide Management.
