The renowned production company OPUS FILM produces commercials, documentaries and feature films. It is known for features from young filmmakers, having produced Sławomir Fabicki's Retrieval (Polish candidate for foreign-language Academy Award) and many other features, including Edi and The Master (both from Piotr Trzaskalski), The Boy on a Galloping Horse by Adam Guziński (Cannes 2006) and Your Name is Justine by Franco de Pena. The company's involvement in a film project begins with development and continues through the various stages of production and into post-production and publicity at international film festivals. In 2007 the company produced Mr. Kuka's Lessons, Tricks, Absolute Beginner and Spring 1941. 2008 brought the production of two documentaries (Nie wyobrażam sobie życia bez tańczącego świata and Rodziców się nie wybiera) and two features –Zero and Tamagotchi, based on a script by Marcin Wrona and Grażyna Trela. This script was awarded top prize in the Polish edition of Hartley-Merrill and third place in the international competition.
