FilmPOLSKA München: 2nd Edition

The second edition of the filmPOLSKA festival in Munich will run from November 28 through December 2, 2012. The festival is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Films Supported by Polish Film Institute Featured in filmPOLSKA Lineup 

The lineup of this year’s festival features a number of Polish feature, documentary, and animated films, including those co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. German audiences will have an opportunity to see Ki (My Name is Ki) by Leszek Dawid, Sala samobójców (Suicide Room) by Jan Komasa, Kret (The Mole) by Rafael Lewandowski, W sypialni (In the Bedroom) by Tomasz Wasilewski, Lęk wysokości (Fear of Heights) by Bartosz Konopka, Z daleka widok jest piękny (It Looks Pretty from a Distance) by Anka and Wilhelm Sasnal, Róża (Rosa) by Wojciech Smarzowski,  and Wymyk (Courage) by Greg Zgliński. After the screenings there will be Q&A sessions with the filmmakers, including director Bartosz Konopka and producer Łukasz Dzięcioł. The festival screenings will take place at the Monopol cinema in Munich. 

Festival Supported by Polish Film Institute

The goal of the filmPOLSKA festival is to present new Polish cinema to German audiences. The event is organized by the Ahoj Nachbarn foundation, and co-organized by the Polish Cultural Centre in Munich, the Polish Institute in Berlin, and the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation. The event is also co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
