The story takes place at the turn ofthe 17th and 18th centuries, in the Pieniny Mountains. Severely wounded Cyprian arrives at a monastery. The former rebel and bandit, while recovering, tries to find consolation in prayer, looking for truth and forgiveness. He makes friends with 17-years-old Michal, who was abandoned by his mother and was brought up in the monastery. One night, at the monastery gate, Cyprian finds a dying man. After he expires, Cyprian finds in his bundle of possessions an old book with plans for a mysterious flying machine...
Born in 1978. Graduated from the Department of Culture and Political Studies at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra; the film and television directing at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava (the class of Martin Šulík). Directed several student etudes. Her latest middle-length film Abel's Black Dog, was premiered at IFF Bratislava 2006. Flying Cyprian is her feature film debut.
