Five Polish films in The Goes to Cannes

New Horizons’ Polish Days Goes to Cannes 2020 program has announced their selection. Among the Polish films at various stages of production (works-in-progress) selected for this year’s edition, five titles will be presented. They are: „Horse Tail”, „The Last Mission”, „Everyone Has a Summer”, „Moths” and „WIKA!” – all co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

The Goes to Cannes is a program that invites  the most important festivals  to present to the foreign industry selected films that do not yet have sales agents, distributors or a designated festival premiere.

 As part of the cooperation between the Polish Film Institute and the New Horizons Association, the New Horizons International Film Festival has for the fourth time been among the four selected film events from around the world. The Goes to Cannes is part of the largest Marché du Film film market, which will take place online this year.

Screening for the film industry

A closed screening of New Horizons’ Polish Days Goes to Cannes exclusively for the accredited representatives of the international film industry (festival selectors, sales agents, distributors, producers, etc.) will take place online on June 22 at 12.00-14.00 during Marché du Film Online. Polish Days 2020 will be held from July 27-29, 2020 in online format. This is the most important industry event at the New Horizons International Film Festival, co-organized by the Polish Film Institute. Representatives of the film industry from around the world at closed screenings will learn about the latest Polish cinema at every stage of production: they watch ready films and film fragments in the post-production phase and participate in project in development presentations.
