"Floating Skyscrapers" at CineFest

Tomasz Wasilewski’s Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers) screened in Miskolc at the 10th Jameson CineFest International Film Festival on September 16. The film is one of the contenders in the festival’s Main Competition.

Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers) in International Main Competition

Tomasz Wasilewski’s Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers), supported by the Polish Film Institute, will compete in the International Main Competition of the Hungarian festival against 17 other titles. Other films screening in competition include Krugovi by Srdan Golubovic (Serbia’s Oscar® candidate), Kill Your Darlings, an American film directed by John Krokidas, and Miele, a film directed by Valeria Golina that screened in Cannes. The competition films will be judged by international jury members Doru Nitescu, Attila Beres, Ferenc Cako, Anna Kornis, Banu Mukhey, Rob Nelson, Marieke Schellart, and Cosmina Stratan.

Films from Other Festivals

The lineup of the Jameson CineFest also features a presentation of films from the last edition of the Toruń-based Toffifest festival. Miskolc audiences had an opportunity to see Hakerzy wolności (Hackers of Freedom) by Marcin Gładych and Caissa by Marcel Woźniak. Screenings of films from other festivals also included Smolarze (The Charcoal Burners) by Piotr Złotorowicz, a film awarded at the Magma – Mostra di Cinema Breve festival in Italy.
