Fourth Polish Film Festival in Spain

October 5, 2013 brought the launch of the fourth Polish Film Festival in Spain. The event is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Nieulotne (Lasting) as Opening Film

The Fourth Polish Film Festival in Spain opened on October 5, 2013 at the Cine Dore cinema in Madrid. The opening film was Nieulotne (Lasting), a Polish-Spanish co-production directed by Jacek Borcuch and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The opening screening was attended by Spanish actress Angela Molina, who played in Jacek Borcuch’s feature, and Jose Maria Prado, director of Spain’s National Film Archive.

Films Supported by the Polish Film Institute in Festival Lineup

The lineup of the fourth edition of the festival features several recent Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, including Nieulotne (Lasting) by Jacek Borcuch, Ostatnie piętro (The Last Floor) by Tadeusz Król, Róża (Rosa) by Wojciech Smarzowski, Operacja Dunaj (Operation Danube) by Jacek Głomb, Miłość (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki, Senność and Pręgi (Welts), both by Magdalena Piekorz, and Piąta pora roku (The Fifth Season of the Year) by Jerzy Domaradzki.

More Than Madrid Alone

After screening in Madrid, several Polish films presented at the festival will later also be shown in Murcia, Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Pamplona, La Coruña, Barcelona, Malaga, Valencia, Santa Cruz in Tenerife, and Palma, Majorca.

Event Co-Financed by the Polish Film Institute

The 4th Polish Film Festival in Spain has been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute and organized by the Polish Institute in Madrid in cooperation with AP Manana and the National Film Archive in Madrid.
