Help for Ukraine from PFI

As a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, we want to assure you of our solidarity with the entire Ukrainian society and to express our opposition to the attack that violates all the rules of international law. Ukraine is a democratic country and our neighbor in the heart of Europe, which is why we are firmly involved in helping our colleagues from the film industry, and as the Polish Film Institute, we join the Ukrainian Film Academy’s appeal regarding the boycott of Russian cinematography.

We are launching a special “HELP FOR UKRAINIAN CITIZENS” tab dedicated to Ukrainian filmmakers on our website. You will find there the most important information on PISF activities in the field of support and job advertisements.

The Polish Film Institute organizes assistance for filmmakers from Ukraine in the following areas:

– as a matter of urgency, we create a fund supporting Polish-Ukrainian film and cultural initiatives;

– we will systematically publish job advertisements in the “HELP FOR UKRAINIAN CITIZENS” tab;

– we asked EFAD to submit job offers for Ukrainian filmmakers;

– from today we provide office space for Ukrainian filmmakers – without the possibility and conditions to work. Please contact us by e-mail: ukraina@pisf.pl;

– we offer legal assistance for Ukrainian filmmakers;

All job advertisements for our colleagues from the industry should be sent to the e-mail address: ukraina@pisf.pl. The contact person on the side of the Institute is Ms Marzena Kleban – marzena.kleban@pisf.pl.

Together, we are able to provide work in the implementation of audiovisual productions to those who are currently in a dramatic situation, so we ask you for your commitment and sending offers that can be distributed among filmmakers from Ukraine.

We believe that strength lies in people’s solidarity.
