Julia Kijowska Awarded in Greece

Julia Kijowska received the Best Actress award at the 53rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival for her performance in Miłość (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki. The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Julia Kijowska Wins Best Actress Award

Julia Kijowska received the Best Actress Award at the 53rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival, which closed on November 11. Kijowska was recognized for her performance as Maria in Sławomir Fabicki’s Miłość (Loving). The winner of the Grand Prize at the Thessaloniki festival was the Danish production Kapringen, directed by Tobias Lindholm.

Miłość (Loving)

The second feature film from director Sławomir Fabicki, nominated for an Academy Award for his short film Męska sprawa, is the story of a complicated marriage between Maria and Tomek, a thirty-year-old couple who appear to have everything they need to be happy. They both have successful careers, they are decorating their new home, and expecting a baby. But Maria doesn’t share the fact that her boss is trying to seduce her, and she has a traumatic experience that will change not only her, but also the relationship with her husband. The love between these two people will be put to a long and straining test.

Film Supported by Polish Film Institute

The film was produced by Odeon Rybarczyk Productions, and co-produced by Anagram Film. The written by Sławomir Fabicki and Marek Pruchniewski, and lensed by Piotr Szczepański. The lead parts were played by Julia Kijowska and Marcin Dorociński, with supporting performances by Adam Woronowicz, Agata Kulesza, Dorota Kolak, and Marian Dziędziel. Miłość (Loving) was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The film’s world premiere took place at the 28th Warsaw Film Festival.
