KINOTEKA Festival in London

The eighth edition of the KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival in London will last from March 4 to April 13. Ten cinemas throughout London will screen the latest Polish films, and a retrospective of short features and early films by Roman Polanski.

There will also be screenings of acclaimed documentary films from the 1960s, made by such renowned artists as Andrzej Munk, Krzysztof Kieślowski, and Kazimierz Karabasz. This year’s programme will also show contemporary Polish documentaries, including the Oscar-nominated Rabbit a la Berlin (Królik po berlińsku) by Bartek Konopka (screening on March 23 at Tricycle Cinema, in partnership with the London Documentary Film Festival).

These film events will be accompanied by concerts, poster exhibitions, and Q&A sessions with various contemporary Polish filmmakers. The KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival is organized by the Polish Cultural Institute and supported by the Polish Film Institute. Tickets are on sale at the box-office and websites of partner cinemas.

Selected films of the 8th KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival will also be screened in Belfast, Exeter, Sheffield and Bath in April and May, as part of the KINOTEKA ON TOUR programme. Further details are available on the festival’s official website: www.KINOTEKA.org.uk.
