"Mitzvah" Wins in Moldova
The documentary Mitzvah, directed by Maciej Grabysa and Witold Gadowski, received an award at the Cronograf Film Festival in Moldova.
Polish Award Winners
Directed by Maciej Grabysa and Witold Gadowski, the documentary Mitzvah focuses on the issue of organ trafficking in Israel and related countries, including Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Colombia, China, and the Philippines. The filmmakers attempt to explain the causes for a phenomenon that has serious social, cultural, and economic implications.
Film Supported by the Polish Film Institute
The Polish filmmakers received the award in Chisinau from the International Organization for Migration. Mitzvah was produced by Uniwersytet Człowieka Ognik, with support from the Polish Film Institute.
Cronograf
Cronograf is Moldova’s only international documentary film festival. Its eleventh edition drew to a close on June 3.
