New Polish Films in NYC

Kino Polska: New Polish Cinema, a showcase of recent Polish films co-organized by the Polish Film Institute, will take place at the BAMcinématek in New York City between February 19 and February 23, 2014.

11 Films in Lineup

The lineup features several recent Polish films, most of which screened in Main Competition at the 38th Gdynia Film Festival. Films scheduled to screen in NYC include Wałęsa. Człowiek z nadziei (Wałęsa. Man of Hope) by Andrzej Wajda, Imagine by Andrzej Jakimowski, Nieulotne (Lasting) by Jacek Borcuch, Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers) by Tomasz Wasilewski, Ida by Paweł Pawlikowski, Papusza by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze, Miłość (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki, Chce się żyć (Life Feels Good) by Maciej Pieprzyca, and Układ zamknięty (Closed Circuit) by Ryszard Bugajski.

An Event Supported by the Polish Film Institute

The film showcase has been organized by BAMcinématek, the Polish Institute in New York City, and the Polish Film Institute.
