MARIUSZ WŁODARSKI - PRODUCER ON THE MOVE 2015

Polish producer Mariusz Włodarski is among the participants of this year’s edition of the prestigious ‘Producers on the Move’ programme, scheduled to take place between May 15 and May 18 during the 68th Cannes International Film Festival.

16th Edition of ‘Producers on the Move’

The 16th edition of the ‘Producers on the Move’ programme, organized in Cannes by European Film Promotion, will be attended by 20 young producers from across Europe. Participation in the programme is aimed at building a network of industry professionals who will play an increasingly significant role in European filmmaking. For the past five years, the programme has also been supported by Eurimages.

Mariusz Włodarski

Mariusz Włodarski (Lava Films) will now join the ever-growing ranks of Polish participants in the programme. Włodarski graduated in international studies from the University of Łódź and in film production from the Łódź Film School. After five years at Łódź-based Opus Film, he and three friends launched their own production company: Lava Films. Mariusz Włodarski produced Bez śniegu (Without Snow), the award-winning student film by director Magnus von Horn, as well as von Horn’s most recent project, his feature debut Intruz (The Here After), which will have its world premiere screening in Directors’ Fortnight at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival. Włodarski also co-produced Arizona w mojej głowie (They Chased Me Through Arizona), a film directed by Matthias Huser. Currently he is developing Polish and international projects by such directors as Paweł Borowski and Mariko Saga.

Polish ‘Producers on the Move’ at past editions of the programme included Mikołaj Pokromski (2014), Agnieszka Kurzydło (2013), Marta Plucińska (2012), Łukasz Dzięcioł (2011), and Kamila Polit (2010). This year’s ‘Producers on the Move’ will run from May 15 through May 18, during the 68th Cannes International Film Festival.
