"The Great Match" with the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award





The “The Great Match” by Filip Syczyński is the best project during the Industry @ Tallinn & Baltic Event. Earlier, the film received funding from the Polish Film Institute for project development.

Eurimages Co-Production Development Award

19 projects were presented during the event in Tallinn. The main award went to a Polish project directed by Filip Syczyński entitled “The Great Match”. The producer of the film is Match & Spark (Anna Różalska, Tarik Hachoud).

The Eurimages Co-Production Development Award is awarded for the best project with high artistic quality and distribution potential. The prize is 20,000 euro.

The jury chose the project unanimously:

“The project convinced unanimously with the strong heartfelt motivation of the director who has a German and a Polish teenage refugee settling the scores of the recurrent European discussion about freedom on the tennis court.”

In August, the “The Great Match” project was presented during Polish Days in Wrocław.

The film will be his directorial debut.
