2017 POLISH FILM AWARDS: "WOŁYŃ" WINS BEST FILM

The 19th Polish Film Awards ceremony was held on March 20 at Warsaw’s Teatr Polski. Wojciech Smarzowski’s Wołyń (Hatred) received nine awards. Four awards were given to Ostatnia Rodzina (The Last Family) by Jan P. Matuszyński. Two awards went to Jestem mordercą (I’m a Killer) by Maciej Pieprzyca. Award for the best documentary went to Komunia (Communion) by Anna Zamecka.

Best Costume Design

  • Wanda Kowalska, Paweł Grabarczyk, Magdalena Rutkiewicz-Luterek, Agata Drozdowska – Wołyń (Hatred);

Best Sound

  • Katarzyna Dzida-Hamela, Jacek Hamela – Wołyń (Hatred);

Best Actress

  • Aleksandra Konieczna – Ostatnia Rodzina (The Last Family);

Best Actor

  • Andrzej Seweryn – Ostatnia Rodzina (The Last Family);

Best Supporting Actress

  • Agata Kulesza – Jestem mordercą (I’m a Killer);

Best Supporting Actor

  • Arkadiusz Jakubik – Jestem mordercą (I’m a Killer);

Best Documentary

Discovery of the Year
