A. Kurzydło - Producer on the Move

Polish producer Agnieszka Kurzydło has been selected as one of the participants of the prestigious ‘Producers on the Move’ programme, which will take place on May 18-21, 2013 during the 66th Cannes International Film Festival.

14th Edition of ‘Producers on the Move’

The 14th edition of the ‘Producers on the Move’ programmed, organized in Cannes by European Film Promotion and supported by the MEDIA programme, will have 29 young European producers as its participants, including first-time appearances by representatives of Kosovo and Montenegro. Participation in the programme is aimed at business networking and building a system of professional contacts that have an increasing influence on the European film industry.

Agnieszka Kurzydło is yet another Polish film producer to participate in the ‘Producers on the Move’ programme. Kurzydło owns the Mental Disorder 4 (MD4) production company and has produced two 63rd Berlinale award-winning films: W imię… (In the Name Of…) by Małgorzata Szumowska (Teddy Award) and Bejbi Blues (Baby Blues) by Katarzyna Rosłaniec (Crystal Bear Award), as well as two new Polish feature productions: Czerwony pająk by Marcin Koszałka and Kebab i horoskop by Grzegorz Jaroszuk.

 

Agnieszka Kurzydło previously worked as set manager and 1st AD on such films as Sala samobójców (Suicide Room), Wszystko, co kocham (All That I Love) and 33 sceny z życia (33 Scenes from Life). While working for Zentropa International Poland, she was involved in several international co-productions: Sponsoring (Elles) by Małgorzata Szumowska, Antichrist by Lar von Trier, and The Woman That Dreamed About a Man by Per Fly.

Polish ‘Producers on the Move’

Polish producers who participated in previous editions of ‘Producers on the Move’ are: Marta Plucińska (2012), Łukasz Dzięcioł (2011), and Kamila Polit (2010).

 

The ‘Producers on the Move’ meetings will run from May 18 through May 21, during the 66th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival.
