Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers)

Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers), the second feature film from director Tomasz Wasilewski [following his debut W sypialni (In a Bedroom)], is a contemporary and universal coming-of-age story about the search for one’s own identity and for acceptance. The film’s main protagonist Kuba is a young man who lives with his mother and his girlfriend Sylwia. At first glance, Kuba’s life appears to be organized and stable; he loves his girlfriend, he is a college student in physical education, and is considered to be one of the top contenders in the upcoming swimming competition. One night at a party, he meets Michał. A strong emotional bond forms between the two men. Kuba suddenly finds himself fascinated with another man. Terrified of the emotions that have stirred inside him, Kuba cannot find his place in these new circumstances.
