"Fuck For Forest" Nominated

On November 6, the nominations for the prestigious Cinema Eye Honors awards for documentary filmmakers were announced in Los Angeles. One of the nominated films is Fuck For Forest, a film directed by Michał Marczak and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Spotlight Award

Fuck For Forest is one of six titles nominated for this year’s Spotlight Award. This category of the Cinema Eye Honors is dedicated to “films that need to have big audiences and filmmakers from whom we can’t wait to see more.” Michał Marczak’s documentary will compete for the Spotlight Award against Bending Steel by Dave Carrol, Harry Dean Stanton: Partly Fiction by Sophie Huber, The Last Station by Cristian Soto and Catalina Vergara, The Search for Emak Bakia by Oskar Alegria, and Valentine Road by Marta Cunningham.

Industry Awards

The Cinema Eye Honors have been presented annually since 2008 in eleven categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Production, Best Debut Feature Film, and Best Original Score. The selection committee for nominating films for the Cinema Eye Honors includes artistic directors and programmers from the world’s top film festivals.
