"Gabriel" Wins in India

Gabriel, a family film directed by Mikołaj Haremski and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received the award for Best Film at the CMS International Children’s Film Festival in India.

Awards at International Film Festivals

The Best Film award at the CMS Festival in India marks the latest addition to the collection of awards for Haremski’s feature. Gabriel has received awards at multiple other film festivals. Notable examples include the Audience Award at the Green Bay festival in the United States, four awards at the Cinerockom international festival in Malibu (Best Photography, Best Original Score, Best Young Actor, and Best Feature Film), and the Special Jury Prize at the Schlingel Film Festival in Germany. Gabriel also screened at the Montreal Film Festival, the Ale Kino! International Festival of Films for Young Audiences, the Polish Film Festival in Chicago, the International Children’s Film Festival in India, and at the Children’s Film Festival in Seattle.

Gabriel: A Film About Friendship and Youthful Dilemmas

Gabriel tells the story of twelve-year-old Tomek who decides to set off on a journey in search of his father. He is accompanied by a recently met new friend named Gabriel. The boys have a number of adventures along the way, and every moment brings Tomek a little closer to discovering the truth about his father and his companion, who appears to possess supernatural qualities since the beginning of their journey.

Gabriel in Polish Cinemas

Gabriel was released theatrically in Poland on April 11.
