Jacek Bromski’s film God’s Little Garden (U Pana Boga w ogródku) received three awards at the 42nd annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival including the Special Jury Award for Best Feature Film. The film also won the Grand Prix for Best International Film and the award for Best Music for composer Henri Seroka.

Nearly 60 films from the USA, France, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Japan, Armenia, Canada, Ukraine, India, Hungary, and Mexico took part in the major feature films competition at the festival from April 16-26. God’s Little Garden was the only Polish title in this category. Bromski took part in the competition preview of the film, which took place on 23 April. The Special Jury Award is the second most important prize in this competition.

WorldFest-Houston is one of the oldest independent film festivals in the world. Founded by director-producer Hunter Todd, the first edition took place in August 1961.

Including films from the two most prestigious competitions – features and short film (about 100 titles) – over 450 films were shown during WorldFest. The sections and competitions are: TV Production, Documentary, Corporate & Business Films, Student & Experimental, TV Commercials, Film & Video Production, and Music Videos. The festival programme is complemented by workshops and master classes.

God’s Little Garden won the Special Jury Award in 2007 during the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.
