Izabela Kiszka-Hoflik Appointed as Acting Director of the Polish Film Institute

Following the dismissal of General Director of the Polish Film Institute Magdalena Sroka on October 9 (official statement available on the the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage website) on October 16 the Minister of Culture and National Heritage professor Piotr Gliński appointed Izabela Kiszka-Hoflik as acting Director of the Polish Film Institute until the new General Director of the Polish Film Institute is selected using the procedure outlined in Article 14 of the Act on Cinematography of June 30, 2005.

Izabela Kiszka-Hoflik has been working at the Polish Film Institute since 2005. From 2005 to 2010 she was responsible for the international promotion of Polish cinema in the International Relations Department. From 2010 to 2015 she was Head of the International Relations Department. In early 2016, she was appointed Head of the Film Production and Project Development Department. Izabela Kiszka-Hoflik is a member of the European Film Academy.
