Komasa: Best Director at Art Film Fest

Jan Komasa received the Blue Angel award for Best Director at the 19^th edition of the Art Film Fest International Film Festival. His feature debut Sala samobójców (Suicide Room) screened in Main Competition, which featured a total of 15 films, including The Hunter by Bakur Bakuradze.

Art Film Fest is Slovakia’s oldest international film festival. Its first edition was held in June 1993, soon after the breakup of Czechoslovakia. Since then, the festival has become Slovakia’s most prestigious film event, with a lineup that includes the latest Slovakian films, along with competition films from Locarno, Venice, and Berlin.
