Nominations for the Polish Film Awards

The nominations for the 2012 Polish Film Awards (Eagles) were presented on February 7 in the Primate’s Palace in Warsaw by previous Eagle winners and nominees.

Polish cinematography is getting stronger

It is the 14th edition of the Polish Film Awards and we have never had so many candidates, 41 films this year indicate that Polish cinematography is getting stronger and can attract every viewer (…). This year’s edition is crucial as for the first time members of the Polish Film Academy could watch the films not only in cinemas but also on the Internet – said Dariusz Jabłoński, the organiser and initiator of the event, before the announcement of nominations.

The first stage of voting was finished on February 2. There are 41 films taking part in this year’s, 14th edition of the Polish Film Awards. The Polish Film Academy has got over 500 members. The Polish Film Awards vote is a mail-in, classified, and two-stage process.
