Pitch & Meet. Warsaw Co-Production Meetings - Submissions 2017

From the 6th September, The Polish Film Institute in cooperation with Warsaw Film Festival accepts submissions for a pitching session in the frame of Pitch & Meet. Warsaw Co-Production Meetings. The submissions are open to Polish and international filmmakers. Selected film projects will get the opportunity to be presented to Polish and international members of the film industry (producers, festival programmers, distributors, sales agents, etc.).

New submission deadline is 29th September 2017 (Friday), 12:00am (CET). The Pitch & Meet presentation will take place between 20th and 21st October 2017 in Warsaw. The winner of full length feature film project selected by the jury of Pitch & Meet Project will be granted with a price of 100 000 Euro (payable in Polish Zloty) under the condition of submitting an application to the Minority Co-Production Scheme at the Polish Film Institute. Please note that it is required to have a Polish co-producer.

Due to the great interest of the film professionals in Pitch & Meet Project we would like to invite Polish majority co-production film projects to take part in presentation for the international film professionals. Please note that presented majority co-production film projects will not be considered for the price of Pitch&Meet.

Polish Film Institute reserves the right to make a selection of the film projects that will be invited to the presentation session in a frame of Pitch & Meet.

Pitching session

Out of all submitted projects The Polish Film Institute will select around 10 that will be invited to Warsaw to take part in a pitching session that will take place on the 20th October 2017 r. All film projects will be presented in English. 

Apart from presenting film projects in the pitching session the invited filmmakers will get the opportunity to take part in “one on one” meetings with Polish and international members of the film industry invited to Pitch & Meet. Warsaw Co-Production Meetings – that will be held on 20th and 21st October.

100 000 Euro prize

From the film projects presented at the pitching session Polish and international jury members will select one winning project that will be granted with 100 000 Euro prize (payable in Polish Zloty). The prize will be granted under the condition of submitting an application to the Minority Co-Production Scheme at the Polish Film Institute. Please note that it is required to have a Polish co-producer.

All film projects submitted to Pitch & Meet. Warsaw Co-Production Meetings must meet the following criteria:

  • The film project is required to have at least first draft of the script and be no later than at works in progress stage.
  • Submissions are open only to full length feature film projects;
  • Submissions must include all of the following attachments:
    • Financing plan with the 20% of the budget secured by the producer;
    • Synopsis (one page A4);
    • Producer’s explication;
    • Director’s explication;
    • Basic information about the film project: director, producer, cast, etc;

All submissions and attachments have to be in English. Only submissions that meet the criteria listed above will be accepted.

To all selected filmmakers (director or producer must be present) we offer the Warsaw Film Festival industry accreditation as well as accommodation for one night (arrival to Warsaw on Sat. 20th Oct. before noon – departure from Warsaw on Sun. 21st Oct. afternoon).

Pitch & Meet. Warsaw Co-Production Meetings

is an international industry event addressed both to the Polish and international filmmakers. It allows to present the film projects to the Polish and international film professionals as well as gives an opportunity to exchange the ideas and network in the frame of “one on one” meetings.
