Polish Candidates for EFA

Three Polish filmmakers are nominated for the prestigious European Film Awards. Voting ends on December 3. Members of the European Film Academy will select winners in 13 categories.

 

Three Polish filmmakers are among this year’s nominees. In the Short Documentary category, two Polish documentaries are nominated – Poste Restante by Marcel Łoziński and Glass Trap by Paweł Ferdek. Nominated for the Prix d’Excellence special award is the Polish make-up artist Waldemar Pokromski for his work on The Baader Meinhof Complex.

In competition for the European Film Awards are films representing 25 European countries. This year the contenders include Slumdog Millionaire (six nominations), The White Ribbon (three nominations), Antichrist (three nominations), Broken Embraces, The Baader Meinhof Complex, Coco Chanel and The Reader.
