Polish films at 22nd Tallinn Black Nights





The International Film Festival Black Nights is currently held in Tallinn. The program includes Polish films.

Polish films are present this year in many festival sections, including competition ones:

  • Main Competition – “Werewolf”, dir. Adrian Panek,
  • Just Film Children Programme International Competition – “The Day of Chocolate”, dir. Jacek Piotr Bławut,
  • Screen International Critics’ Choice – “Cold War”, dir. Paweł Pawlikowski,
  • Baltic Film Competition – “Foam at the mouth”, dir. Janis Nords,
  • Panorama – “When the trees fall”, dir. Marysia Nikitiuk,
  • Panorama – “Winter Flies”, dir. Olmo Omerzu,
  • Forum – “The River”, dir. Emir Baigazin.

Special screening “How to be Loved”

As part of celebrating the 100th anniversary of independence, there will be special screenings devoted to films from countries that regained their independence in 1918. On this occasion in Tallinn, the film “How to be Loved” by Wojciech Jerzy Has will be shown.

“Patagonia” at the Baltic Event

The “Patagonia”, a new project by Agnieszka Zwiefka will be presented on the co-production market. 

The program of the festival also includes a presentation on financial incentives.

The festival will last until December 2nd.
