POLISH FILMS AT FESTIVAL SCOPE
The Polish Film Institute has joined forces with Festival Scope, a platform for new channels of film distribution. Festival Scope will feature a selection of Polish films, including film debuts and films that screened at major international film festivals.
Festival Scope
Festival Scope is an online B2B platform for film professionals, aimed at offering new ways of film distribution. Launched in 2010, this platform is mainly intended for festival programmers, sales agents and distributors, making films from Festival Scope’s selection of festivals available as video on demand.
Films from Major Film Festivals
Festival Scope works with over 70 key international film festivals, including Berlin, Rotterdam, Locarno, Venice, Cannes, Toronto, San Sebastian, Sundance, Annecy, and IDFA, showcasing films from these festivals.
Polish Films at Festival Scope
Thanks to the joint efforts of the Polish Film Institute and Festival Scope, the platform will also showcase Polish films that screened at major film festivals, as well as selected films by first- and second-time filmmakers. The list currently features Body/Ciało (Body) by Małgorzata Szumowska, Demon by Marcin Wrona, Bracia (Brothers) by Wojciech Staroń, Mów mi Marianna (Call Me Marianna) by Karolina Bielawska, Baby Bump by Kuba Czekaj, Performer (The Performer) by Łukasz Ronduda and Maciej Sobieszczański, and a number of international co-productions, including Intruz (The Here After) by Magnus von Horn, Świt (Dawn) by Laila Pakalnina, Czarodziejska góra (The Magic Mountain) by Anca Damian, Podróż do Rzymu (Journey to Rome) by Tomasz Mielnik, Crache-Coeur (Raging Rose) by Julia Kowalski, Dybuk. Rzecz o wędrówce dusz (The Dybbuk) by Krzysztof Kopczyński, and Dni uciekają jak dzikie konie za wzgórza (The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over the Hills) by Marcin Malaszczak, with more titles to come.
