Polish Films at the 63rd BFI London Film Festival





New films by Agnieszka Holland and Małgorzata Szumowska and the Latvian-Polish animation “Jacob, Mimmi And The Talking Dogs” were included in the program of the 63rd BFI London Film Festival (2-13.10.2019).

The program of the BFI London Film Festival includes films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute: Agnieszka Holland’s “Mr Jones” and the Latvian-Polish animation “Jacob, Mimmi And The Talking Dogs”. Małgorzata Szumowska’s English-language debut entitled “The Other Lamb” will also be presented in London.

Polish films awarded in London

The British Film Institute is the organizer of the London festival. In 2013, Paweł Pawlikowski’s “Ida” was awarded the Grand Prix. In 2016, the feature debut of Bartosz M. Kowalski “Playground” won the special award of the youth jury during this event.

The 63rd BFI London Film Festival will be held on October 2-13, 2019.
