"Rabbit à la Berlin" awarded in Toronto

The documentary film Rabbit à la Berlin (Królik po berlińsku) Bartka Konopki won an award at one of the biggest documentary film festivals, the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival. The film was chosen as the best documentary in the medium-length film category.

The film is about thousands of wild rabbits that lived comfortably for 28 years in the death zone beyond the Berlin Wall. After the Wall was dismantled, they had to look for a new place.

In Poland, viewers will have a chance to see Rabbit à la Berlin at Planete Doc Review, where it won the Magic Hour Award. It also qualified for competition at this year’s Kraków Film Festival.

The film was produced with the support of the Polish Film Institute.
