"Scratch" at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival

The film Scratch (Rysa) directed by Michał Rosa has been selected for the prestigious “East of the West” competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the biggest festival in Central and East Europe.

Rosa’s film has gained wide recognition both in Poland and abroad. At the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia it received an award for the best script and honours for Jadwiga Jankowska Cieślak and Krzysztof Stroiński. The actors were honoured with “Eagles” at the Polish Film Awards March 9.

The 44th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will be held 3-11 July 2009. The best films from Central and East Europe will be shown in the “East of the West” competition.
