A few days later The Magic Tree will be screened in competition at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, the largest children’s film festival in North America. This festival takes place between October 22 and November 1.

The Magic Tree is a feature film (released and still screened today at cinemas nationwide) based on the acclaimed television series. The TV-series received dozens of international awards. When The Magic Tree was awarded an Emmy, it was the first time in history that this prestigious award for television production went to a Polish feature.

The Magic Tree is the story of three children, who find a chair that grants wishes, both good and evil… What we have here is a flying house, a gigantic slide emerging from the sea, a walking chair, a crazy bus, money pouring from a faucet and a hundred magically appearing dogs… The story focuses on the problems of children, whose parents often have to choose between a career and spending time with their kids.

Starring in the film are Hanna Śleszyńska, Agnieszka Grochowska, Andrzej Chyra and Maciej Wierzbicki.
