Third Edition Of First Cut Lab In Warsaw

The list of projects participating in the third edition of First Cut Lab at the 33rd Warsaw Film Festival has been announced. The First Cut Lab workshop is organised by the Polish Film Institute.

A Programme for Directors and Producers

First Cut Lab is a programme aimed at film directors and producers. Directors and producers of selected projects will have consults and receive feedback on their projects from top industry professionals representing international film festivals, European production companies, and film consultants. An entry condition to participate in the workshop was submitting a rough cut of a feature film (with a minimum 60 minutes running time) by September 15, 2017.

This is the third time that the Polish Film Institute is organising the First Cut Lab; two films have been selected to participate in this edition: Fuga, directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska and produced by MD 4, and Nina, directed by Olga Chajdas and produced by Film It.

Acclaimed international industry experts have been invited to this year’s edition, including:

  • Benjamin Mirguet – Editor
  • Marina Sanna  – Venice International Film Festival Programmer
  • Marietta von Hausswolff – Script Editor
  • Amanda Livanou – Neda Film
  • Martin Hampel – Pallas Film GmbH

First Cut Lab will take place on October 19-20 during the 33rd Warsaw Film Festival. This is a closed workshop.
