"TITANIUM WHITE" IN MONTREAL'S WORLD COMPETITION

Piotr Śmigasiewicz’s feature debut Tytanowa biel (Titanium White) will screen in the World Competition at the 40th World Film Festival in Montreal.

Feature Debut by Piotr Śmigasiewicz to Screen in World Competition

One of the films selected for the World Competition at the 40th World Film Festival in Montreal is Tytanowa biel (Titanium White), the feature debut by Piotr Śmigasiewicz. Set in the art world, the film is a slow cinema thriller and a mysterious tale of searching for truth in the works of Caravaggio. Dominik (Piotr Adamczyk), a Polish PhD candidate in art history, travels to Porto Ercole at the request of his professor (Torsten Voges) to research the most mysterious period of Caravaggio’s life.

The film was written and directed by Piotr Śmigasiewicz, lensed by Arkadiusz Tomiak, and scored by Paweł Mykietyn. Tytanowa biel (Titanium White) was produced by Jakub Rudnik (Little Tree Entertainment) and a Polish and international cast, including Piotr Adamczyk, Luca Calvani, Torsten Voges, Alessandra Mastronardi, Daniel Olbrychski, Fabio Troiano, and Gedeon Burkhard.

The film’s Montreal screening will mark its world premiere. Tytanowa biel (Titanium White) will be released theatrically in Poland on November 25, 2016.
