Zero at Film Festivals

Paweł Borowski’s Zero will have a rather busy festival schedule over the next few months. Borowski was named one of seven directors to watch by a reviewer of the popular Twitchfilm website, who also stated that his “talent is undeniable”.

The film’s festival streak continues, amplified early this year by its presence at the prestigious Rotterdam Film Festival. Zero screened in the “Bright Future” section of the festival and was well-received by audiences. “Bright Future” is a selection of key features by first-time filmmakers from around the world.

The American premiere of Borowski’s feature took place on February 6 at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where it was screened in the Eastern Bloc Competition, receiving wide acclaim from critics and audiences alike.

The film’s festival tour of the American continent continues, with upcoming events in Chicago, Washington DC, and Los Angeles.

In Chicago, Zero will be the only Polish feature to screen at the 13th edition of the European Union Film Festival. Between April 15 and 25, the film will be shown at the Filmfest DC Washington DC International Film Festival, where it will compete for the Circle Jury Award. Los Angeles will welcome Zero as a film screened at the Polish Film Festival, which will last from April 20 to May 2.

The European festival tour will bring Zero to the FebioFest International Film Festival in Prague, followed by the Wisła Polish Film Festival in Russia, the New Europe Festival in Edinburgh, and the Munich International Film Festival – the second largest film festival in Germany (after Berlin).
