Platige Image Nominated for ANIMAGO

Three films made by Platige Image have been nominated for the 14th edition of the ANIMAGO film awards. The ANIMAGO awards are presented annually since 1997 to the best film projects using 3D animation, visual effects, and interactive media.

Animowany przewodnik po polskim sukcesie (Animated Guide to Polish Success) by Rafał Wojtunik and Animowana historia Polski (Animated History of Poland) by Tomek Bagiński will compete for the ANIMAGO award in the Best Visualization category. Animated Guide to Polish Success is an appealing presentation of the Polish economy, while Animated History of Poland is a musical impression of Polish history. Both films were commissioned by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) for the Polish pavilion at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The third nominee is Grunwald. Walka 600-lecia (Grunwald. Battle of the Sescentenary), directed by Tomek Bagiński. This project, made for a campaign to promote the celebrations of the anniversary of the battle of Tannenberg (aka battle of Grunwald), is nominated in the Best Advertising Production category.

Over 1,000 projects were submitted in total, from which the ANIMAGO team selected 55 projects nominated in eleven categories. Award winners will be announced on October 28 at the ANIMAGO conference gala ceremony.
