Polish cinema represented in Hong Kong; Jolanta Dylewski awarded
Polish cinematography was represented for the first time at the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART).
The Polish Film Institute organised a Polish National Cinema Stand, which attracted interest among distributors from China, Indonesia and Thailand. Several hundred publishers took part in the Market, which last year was visited by over 5 000 people.
At the same time, the 33th International Film Festival took place in Hong Kong at which the prestigious Asian Film Awards – known as the “Asian Oscars” – were handed out in 14 categories. Polish cinematographer Jolanta Dylewska won the “Best Cinematographer” award for the film Tulpan, a German-Kazakhstani-Polish-Russian-Swiss co-production directed by Siergiej Dworcewoj that has reaped many international awards.
The film was co-financed by Polish Film Institute.
