Polish Days 2021 awards granted

The film „Woman on the Roof” directed by Anna Jadowska, Marta Szarzyńska (Kinhouse Studio) and the project „Broys” by Marcin Filipowicz are among the winners of Polish Days 2021. This most important industry event of the New Horizons International Film Festival, co-organized by the Polish Film Institute, took place in Wrocław on August 15-17.

During closed screenings, over 150 film industry representatives from around the world watched finished films and film fragments in the post-production phase and participated in presentations of work in progress. As every year, the best projects were awarded by the partners and co-authors of Polish Days.

Marta Szarzyńska (Kinhouse Studio) received a PFI scholarship for the producer. The award was funded by the Polish Film Institute and allows participation in the workshops for producers – EAVE Producers Workshop 2022. The Screen International Award, granted this year for the third time, was awarded to the film „Woman on the Roof” by Anna Jadowska, produced by Donten & Lacroix Films. The prize for a selected project from the works in progress section is promotion through editorial cooperation at subsequent stages of production.

The award sponsored by Coloroffon Film – covering the costs of post-production of the picture (value up to PLN 15 000, excluding VFX) was received by the project „Broys” directed by Marcin Filipowicz, produced by Studio Munk. No Problemo Music awarded the prize to three projects: „Bread and Salt” dir. Damian Kocur, „Roving Woman” dir. Michał Chmielewski, „The Woman on the Roof” dir. Anna Jadowska. The company offers free use of any songs from the Audio Network music library in the film and promotional materials without time, territorial and field limitations.
