Polish Film Festival in Bangkok

 

January 18 2015 marked the opening ceremony of the Polish Film Festival in Bangkok.  The event which has been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute will run through January 22, 2015.

Guests from Poland

In the opening ceremony of the Polish Film Festival in Bangkok participated the guests from Poland include General Director of the Polish Film Institute Agnieszka Odorowicz, head of the Polish Filmmakers Association Jacek Bromski, director Łukasz Palkowski and producer Eryk Stępniewski. The event enjoyed the interest of the audience and Thai media.

Six Polish Films in Thailand

 

Bangkok audiences will have an opportunity to see six Polish films produced in the last few years: Ida by Paweł Pawlikowski, Chce się żyć (Life Feels Good) by Maciej Pieprzyca, Bogowie (Gods) by Łukasz Palkowski, Bilet na księżyc (One Way Ticket to the Moon) by Jacek Bromski, Wałęsa. Człowiek z nadziei (Wałęsa. Man of Hope) by Andrzej Wajda, and Piąte: nie odchodź (Fanciful), the feature debut from Katarzyna Jungowska.

Event Supported by the Polish Film Institute

The festival has been organized by the Polish Embassy in Bangkok, the Polish Filmmakers Association, and SF World Cinema, and is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
