Polish Films at 14th Tbilisi IFF

Several Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute are featured in the lineup of the 14th Tbilisi International Film Festival, which runs from December 2 through December 8, 2013.

Dzień kobiet (Women’s Day) in Main Competition

Among films selected for screening in Main Competition at the 14th Tbilisi IFF is Dzień kobiet (Women’s Day), a film directed by Maria Sadowska and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The Polish film will compete for festival awards against such films as The Major, directed by Yuri Bykov (Russia), September, directed by Panny Panayotopoulou (Greece), and Medea, directed by Andrea Pallaoro (USA).

Films Supported by the Polish Film Institute Featured in Festival Lineup

The out-of-competition ‘Forum of European Cinema’ section of the festival will screen several Polish films also co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. These films are: Ida by Paweł Pawlikowski, Imagine by Andrzej Jakimowski, and Sponsoring (Elles) by Małgorzata Szumowska. Forum audiences will also have an opportunity to see Burning Bush, the latest work from director Agnieszka Holland.
