goEast

The first edition of the festival was held in 1991 as an initiative of the German Film Institute (DIF). The goal of the event is to foster the interest of the international audience in the development of the Central European film market. The festival is also a good opportunity for industry meetings and for networking with filmmakers from various countries. Each year, the festival lineup features approximately 150 films: long and short feature films and documentaries, divided into several festival sections.
