Polish Films at 16th Black Nights in Tallinn

Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute are featured in the lineup of the 16th edition of the 16th Black Nights International Film Festival (PÖFF), which runs from November 12 through November 28 in Tallinn.

Mój rower (My Father’s Bike) in EurAsia Competition

Mój rower (My Father’s Bike) by Piotr Trzaskalski is featured in the lineup of this year’s EurAsia main competition section for European and Asian films. Trzaskalski’s feature will compete for the festival’s 10,000 EUR cash prize against 19 other films, including Paradise – Faith by Ulrich Seidl, Everyday by Michael Winterbottom, and Kolka Cool by Juris Poškus.

Miłość (Loving) in Tridens Herring Competition

Miłość (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki will screen in the Tridens Herling competition (formerly known as the Baltic Sea competition), which presents feature films by first- and second-time directors from Baltic and Nordic countries. This year’s Tridens Herling competition features 13 films that compete for a cash prize of 5,000 EUR.

Polish Films in Festival Lineup

The lineup of this year’s edition of the Black Nights festival also features Imagine by Andrzej Jakimowski (Panorama section), Zabić bobra (To Kill a Beaver) by Jan Jakub Kolski (16 Selected Titles section, Jesteś Bogiem (You’re a God) by Leszek Dawid (Just Film section). Estonian audiences will also have an opportunity to enjoy a special screening of Korczak by Andrzej Wajda.
