Polish Films at 2013 IDFA

Five documentary films made by Polish filmmakers will screen at this year’s edition of the IDFA International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam. The event runs from November 20 through December 1.

Films Co-Financed by the Polish Film Institute Screening in Competition

Wszystko jest możliwe (Everything Is Possible), a film directed by Lidia Duda and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, is one of 15 films from around the world competing for the top prize in the IDFA Competition for Mid-Length Documentary. Nasza klątwa (Our Curse), Tomasz Śliwiński’s student film also co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, which previously screened at a number of festivals, including the Locarno IFF, will screen in the IDFA Competition for Student Documentaries. This competition also features a total of 15 films in its lineup.

Documentaries by Polish Filmmakers in Amsterdam

Wybory podstawowe (Leaders), a film directed by Paweł Ferdek and supported the Polish Film Institute, will screen in the festival’s Kids & Docs section, which showcases films for young audiences. The lineup of the ‘Reflecting Images: Best of Fests’ section of the festival features Drill Baby Drill, a film by Lech Kowalski, while Odwiedziny (The Visit), a short film directed by Matej Bobrik and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, will screen in the ‘Reflecting Images: Panorama’ section.
