Polish Films at 2014 FebioFest

Several Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute are featured in the competition and out-of-competition lineup of the 21st edition of the FebioFest International Film Festival, which runs from March 20 through March 28, 2014.

New Europe

Chce się żyć (Life Feels Good), a film directed by Maciej Pieprzyca, will screen in the festival’s New Europe competition.

Wałęsa. Człowiek z nadziei (Wałęsa. Man of Hope) as Opening Film

One of this year’s FebioFest opening films will be Wałęsa. Człowiek z nadziei (Wałęsa. Man of Hope) by Polish director Andrzej Wajda, screening in the festival’s World Cinema Panorama section. Actor Robert Więckiewicz will be a special guest at the festival. Alongside a screening of Wajda’s Wałęsa, guests of the opening ceremony will also have an opportunity to see Only Lovers Left Alive, the latest film by director Jim Jarmusch.

World Cinema Panorama

The World Cinema Panorama section of FebioFest will feature two other Polish productions: Ida, directed by Paweł Pawlikowski and Venus in Furs, directed by Roman Polański.
