Polish Films at 29th Haifa IFF

The lineup of the 29th Haifa International Film Festival features several Polish films that have been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The festival runs through September 28, 2013.

Six Polish Films in Festival Lineup

The festival opened on September 19 with a screening of The Congress, directed by Ari Folman. The Haifa IFF lineup also features several other Polish films; the East of the West section of the festival screens Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers) by Tomasz Wasilewski, Wałęsa. Człowiek z nadziei (Wałęsa. Man of Hope) by Andrzej Wajda, Miłość (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki and Papusza by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze. The festival’s section for international documentary films will feature Lalkarz (The Man Who Made Angels Fly) by Wiktoria Szymańska.

Haifa IFF

The Haifa International Film Festival is Israel’s largest film festival, showcasing a selection of acclaimed films and classics of world cinema. Each year, the festival features almost 300 screenings of films from 70 countries around the world.
