Polish Films at Let's CEE FF

Several films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute will screen in competition and out of competition at the 2nd Let’s CEE Film Festival, which runs in Vienna from September 13 through September 21, 2013.

Polish Films in Competition

The festival’s Main Competition lineup includes three features co-financed by the Polish Film Institute: W imię… (In the Name Of…) by Małgorzata Szumowska, Ve stinu (Polish title: W cieniu, English title: In the Shadow) by David Ondříček, and Konfident (The Confidant) by Juraj Nvota. Michał Marczak’s Fuck For Forest will screen in the Documentary Film Competition.

Polish Weekend

Austrian audiences will also have an opportunity to enjoy the ‘Polish Weekend’, which will feature the following films: Ucieczka z kina Wolność (Escape from the ‘Liberty’ Cinema) by Wojciech Marczewski, Dziewczyna z szafy (The Girl from the Wardrobe) by Bodo Kox, Mój Rower (My Father’s Bike) by Piotr Trzaskalski, Imagine by Andrzej Jakimowski, as well as several Polish children’s films dating from 1954 to 2013.

Let’s CEE Film Festival

Let’s CEE Film Festival is a new event on Vienna’s cultural map. The festival showcases feature and documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to film screenings, the festival programme features a number of fringe events, including industry panels and a photo exhibition.
